Ann Angel, MHSG class of 1977, talks to her mother, Doris Angel, née Loewenstein, about arriving as a young Jewish refugee from Germany at the end of 1936.
Doris describes her early impressions of MHSG and Manchester. She reflects on her school career both as a pupil from 1937 – 1941 and later as the School’s domestic bursar from 1953 – 1959.
The conversation was recorded for the School Archive in October 2017 at MHSG, Grangethorpe Road.
